Dr. Saya Nagori

Dr. Nagori is a published author in the field of Ophthalmology and comes to Maryland after several years with the NYU Department of Ophthalmology where she taught residents surgery and was well known for her work in telemedicine. She has been an invited speaker for several national organizations including the American Society of Cornea and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Women in Ophthalmology. She also founded the group Physician Women Rally for encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation, and networking amongst female physicians. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Dr. Nagori graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class. She then went on to Villanova University, where she was a Presidential Scholar and the recipient of a merit-based academic scholarship. Following this, she went to Drexel University College of Medicine, where she received a scholarship from the Arnold P Gold Foundation to conduct an educational program on diabetic eye disease education. Dr. Nagori went on to complete her residency in New York at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital Center and then spent a year in specialty surgical training at Kresge Eye Insitute in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery.

She has over ten years of experience as an eye doctor. She was also invited to serve on the Board for the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons for the 2020 term. Dr. Nagori also has a wide range of expertise in telemedicine and advanced technologies for making patient care more accessible. She has been invited all over the country to give lectures and talks on a variety of topics at both academic centers as well as national conferences.
